VisionWalk is the national signature fundraising event of the Foundation Fighting Blindness. Since it’s inception in the Spring of 2006, the program has raised over $4 million to fund sight-saving research. As promising treatments move into critical human studies, the need for research funding is greater than ever before.

Brooke Pernice
Fourteen year old Brooke Pernice has not let Lebers congenital amaurosis slow her down. The teen’s faith and family have helped her release her debut album “Help from Above.” Brooke and her band regularly tour across the country, including performances at PGA TOUR events with her father, PGA Golfer Tom Pernice. Brooke recently agreed to loan her talents to the inaugural Kansas City VisionWalk, where she and her band will entertain walkers.
“I am blessed to have wonderful people in my life. I am so excited to be able to give back by joining the Foundation Fighting Blindness VisionWalk,” said Brooke.
Brooke, along with her father Tom, mother Sydney, and the entire Pernice family have also supported the VisionWalk by forming a team called Brooke’s Band. They expect to have more than 100 walkers at the June 28 event. In addition, they continue to fundraise and have raised nearly $40,000 for the VisionWalk so far!
